Should non-profits that use the 12 Step approach to treatment qualify for faith based initiative funding?
(A) No. The 12 Steps do not have a religious base which is why faith-based funding should be given only to churches.
(B) Yes. The 12 Steps promote spirituality through a Higher Power of choice and therefore should be considered for faith-based funding.

The Inner City Council on Alcoholism touted the Friendship Club as the most successful non-traditional aftercare drug and alcohol program in Milwaukee.
